A New AI Assistant Named Nikolai Debuts in Russia’s MAX Messenger
A smart, round‑the‑clock medical assistant helps residents receive essential information in just one to two minutes, bypassing call‑center wait times

Smarter Access to Healthcare
A new AI‑powered chatbot called “My Health NSO” has launched in the MAX messenger for residents of the Novosibirsk Region. The intelligent assistant, named Nikolai, is designed to improve access to medical services using a customer‑centric approach. Available 24/7, Nikolai provides essential information within one to two minutes—eliminating the need to wait on the 122 hotline.
The chatbot advises users on emergency dental care, medical insurance procedures, medical commissions, sick leave certificates, and vaccinations.
Expanding Features by Year’s End
According to Sergei Tsukar, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Novosibirsk Region, Nikolai’s capabilities will expand significantly by the end of the year. Residents will be able to check the status of a doctor’s home‑visit request, cancel it, schedule preventive medical examinations, and find their assigned clinic area or the room number of the doctor they are scheduled to see.
A Nationwide Upgrade in Citizen Services
Earlier, Moscow launched the country’s first government‑services chatbot powered by a neural network, accessible via the MAX app. According to Daniil Kotko, Deputy Director for IT and Quality Control at Moscow’s public‑services centers, integrating the chatbot into the national messenger is the next step in advancing the “My Documents” digital services ecosystem.
