Robot Dog Begs for Snacks at Russia’s IT Forum

At the Kazan Digital Week tech forum, a robotic dog greeted visitors by offering its paw—and asking for food—while another served as a “volunteer” guide with a scrolling display on its cap.

At the international Kazan Digital Week forum in Tatarstan, guests were welcomed by an unusual companion—a robotic dog. It entertained attendees by shaking paws and, of course, begging for snacks. Another robot of the same model worked as a volunteer, displaying real-time forum information on a cap-shaped screen. The presence of robotic animals at a high-tech event felt fitting.

The robot convincingly mimicked the behavior of a real dog, creating a friendly and memorable atmosphere. According to its creators, the idea was to break down barriers between advanced technology and everyday people.

The robot dogs demonstrated to the world that Russia is not only keeping pace with global trends but also developing unique products capable of shaping the future of human–AI interaction.

Of course, unlike its living counterpart, the robot dog can’t scratch behind its ear yet—but its designers are confident it will “learn” that trick in future versions.
