Russian Farmer Launches Digital Platform to Empower Agriculture
The new digital ecosystem 'Farmer' aims to help small agricultural enterprises across Russia access funding, modernize operations, and grow sustainably.

A Digital Ecosystem for Rural Growth
In the Republic of Buryatia, a new digital platform called 'Farmer' is being launched to support small-scale agricultural enterprises across Russia. The initiative, led by local farmer Ilya Krasnopeev, has already received approval from the regional Ministry of Agriculture. The official presentation is scheduled for November 27.
'Farmer' is designed as a comprehensive ecosystem to help agricultural producers tackle key challenges. The platform will enable farmers to analyze their performance by comparing indicators with other farms, find and apply for suitable subsidies and grants, and attract direct investments.
A Marketplace for the Modern Farm
One of the most distinctive features of the service is its investment transparency. Investors will be able to fund specific assets — for example, an individual animal — and later receive a share of the products it generates. This model opens a new chapter in agricultural crowdfunding and micro-investment.
In addition, the platform will include a marketplace where users can purchase everything needed for farm operations, from fertilizers and seeds to agricultural machinery. This marketplace is expected to reduce costs and streamline logistics for small producers.
Sustainable Development Through Digitalization
The project’s main goal is to minimize risks for farmers, ensure continuous growth and learning, and provide support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the agricultural sector. By combining analytics, financing tools, and e-commerce capabilities, 'Farmer' seeks to bring rural entrepreneurship to a new technological level — one that can make a tangible difference in local economies.
