Russian Universities and Industry Will Train Students in Physical AI

Russian regions are accelerating the development of multifunctional cleaning robots, introducing locally engineered machines designed to improve the quality of urban environments through automation and sustainable electric mobility.

Engineers across Russia are designing their own smart machines for street cleaning, and the latest example comes from the Krasnodar region. The Viafor plant has tested a new multifunctional robot named Mark, built to keep public spaces clean and improve maintenance efficiency.

Mark is equipped with an electric powertrain and features a modular design that supports a wide range of attachments for cleaning operations. This allows the robot to function on streets, in parks, and in parking lots, adjusting its capabilities based on specific urban needs.

Viafor specializes in electric transport and autonomous systems, and the robot is assembled from domestically produced components. Initial testing demonstrated a high level of cleaning performance, confirming the platform’s readiness for broad deployment in municipal services.

The development continues a growing trend of Russian regions adopting advanced robotics for public maintenance. In Moscow, the Pixel robot, which already cleans city streets, recently received new modules for lawn mowing and sand spreading during icy weather conditions.
