At least 150 robotic production lines are expected to be installed at manufacturing facilities across Russia's Penza region by 2028, according to Maksim Zakharov, head of the Innovation Policy and Infrastructure Department at the regional Ministry of Economic Development. At least one-quarter of local manufacturers say they plan to expand automation, with systems integrators playing a key role in supporting those projects.

Manufacturers across the region are actively modernizing their production facilities. Several plants have already installed robotic systems for welding frame structures, automated the storage of electronic components, and launched fully automated robotic welding cells. A local machinery manufacturer has also introduced robotic industrial washing systems, which the company says are the only products of their kind made in Russia.

The Penza region is also developing drone ports for agriculture. These mobile units transport drones and agricultural chemicals used for crop treatment. Up to 20 such vehicles are expected to enter service by the end of the year.
