A Russian Developer Has Added a Communication Platform to Its Mobile Workplace System
Astra Group has expanded its WorksPad mobile workplace platform by integrating the Roschat communication system, creating a more secure and fully functional environment for corporate interaction

Russia’s Astra Group, a developer of enterprise-grade digital solutions, has rolled out an upgrade to its corporate mobile workplace platform WorksPad. The update adds Roschat—a secure, multi‑modal communication platform—significantly boosting functionality and tightening internal communications across organizations.
Through Roschat, employees can make voice calls, send files, conduct polls, and run video conferences, enabling large‑group collaboration in real time. According to the developers, the service is designed with maximum data protection in mind, making it suitable even for critical infrastructure facilities. The integration of the two platforms creates a secure mobile environment for teams operating across distributed locations.
A New Level of Virtual Office
WorksPad functions as a virtual office, bringing together email, calendars, file exchange, network access, and all essential tools required by a modern organization. Sergey Makarin, Development Director at RuPost (part of Astra Group), explained that combining the two products establishes a new standard of secure digital workplaces.
Secure Digital Ecosystems for Corporate Mobility
The partnership between WorksPad and Roschat reflects a broader trend in Russia’s enterprise tech sector: the push toward integrated, secure, and fully localized digital ecosystems. For companies facing mobility challenges or managing remote teams, these tools provide a dependable operational backbone—reducing fragmentation, strengthening cybersecurity, and improving productivity.
