A Train Ticket Can Now Be Purchased With the Digital Ruble
The new option adds to the payment methods already available.

Passengers can now pay for long-distance train tickets using the digital ruble. The option is available to users of the “Order a Ticket by Phone” service.
Before purchasing a ticket, passengers need to contact an operator and provide the information required to issue the travel document, including the route, travel date and passenger details. The user will then receive a payment link at the specified phone number or email address.
When selecting a payment method, users can choose the digital ruble and a bank that supports digital-ruble transactions. The passenger will then receive the tickets and a receipt.
“Digital-ruble transactions for Russian citizens are conducted without a fee. The new payment method therefore adds to the options already available for purchasing tickets remotely,” representatives of the Federal Passenger Company’s press service said.
