AI Cuts Road Accidents by 25% on Avtodor Highways
The company’s 2026 target is to reduce accident rates by 13.8% compared to 2023 levels

The use of artificial intelligence has reduced accident rates by 25% on highways operated by Avtodor, Victoria Erkenova, deputy chair for intelligent transport systems and digitalization, said at the International Transport and Logistics Forum.
She said the company’s target is to cut accident rates by 13.8% by 2026 compared to 2023.
Safety Comes First
Earlier, Avtodor’s lab developed “musical” road markings that produce melodies when vehicles pass over them. The technology is designed to draw drivers’ attention in high-risk areas while also making the driving experience more engaging.
The company has also deployed the Svobodny potok (Free Flow system), an AI-powered tolling solution. The neural network detects drivers who evade toll payments or obscure their license plates. In addition, a video monitoring system developed by Graviton and Integra-S provides continuous traffic monitoring, automates control processes, and enables rapid response to incidents.
