AI Generates Industrial Knowledge Tests in Russia

Researchers at Tomsk Polytechnic University have trained a neural network to generate test questions based on industrial regulations, giving factories a faster way to train and evaluate workers.
At Tomsk Polytechnic University, the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has developed a neural network capable of generating knowledge-check questions for industrial safety and compliance tests. The system relies on Bloom’s taxonomy, creating assessments that progress from basic fact recall to complex analytical problems.
Currently in its trial phase, the system generates a pool of questions that are then reviewed by experts, who select the most accurate and relevant items. This ensures each test is fresh, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest changes in industry standards and regulatory requirements.
The tool enables companies to conduct safety briefings and staff evaluations more efficiently and can also be applied in educational institutions. One company specializing in industrial safety for the energy sector has already expressed interest in adopting the service for training employees engaged in high-risk operations.
