AI Helps Russian Hospitals Analyze Mammograms
A new digital mammography system in Izhevsk delivers high-quality scans, supporting early detection of breast disease and easing doctors’ workload.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being applied across Russian medicine. Neural networks process vast amounts of data, analyze patterns, and assist doctors in diagnosing conditions faster and more accurately, enabling more effective treatment.
High-tech healthcare is no longer limited to Moscow. In Izhevsk, a city hospital has introduced a new digital mammography system that produces precise, high-quality scans. The images are then stored in a digital archive for AI analysis.
The equipment is designed to improve early detection of breast disease, as well as to support monitoring of existing conditions. Each year, the machine is capable of performing more than 10,000 screenings.
