AI Identifies 1,500 Illegal Parking Violations in the Moscow Region
Artificial intelligence, working with cameras from the Bezopasnyy region (Safe Region) surveillance system, has begun helping enforce parking regulations in the Moscow Region, according to the regional Ministry of Public Administration.

The system follows a structured workflow. Every hour, it scans roads for vehicles parked in prohibited areas. If a vehicle remains in place 30 minutes later, the violation is recorded automatically. The information is then sent to the Regional Management Center, verified by the Moscow Region's Ministry of Transport, and forwarded to inspectors from the regional administrative and transport enforcement authority.
The results of the joint effort by AI and human inspectors are already measurable. The system has identified more than 1,500 repeat parking violations, led to the towing of 862 vehicles, and resulted in fines totaling more than 1.9 million rubles (about $25,000).
