AI to Monitor Patients in Novosibirsk Region Hospitals
The system will track patient behavior in real time and support clinical decision-making.

Artificial intelligence will be used to monitor patients in the Novosibirsk region, with a pilot project launching in the intensive care unit of Clinical Hospital No. 34 in Novosibirsk, Narodnaya Gazeta reported.
According to Deputy Health Minister Alexander Kolupaev, the monitoring system will be connected to video surveillance cameras in patient rooms. AI will analyze patient behavior in real time based on predefined algorithms, for example detecting attempts to stand up or leave the room.
Activity Analysis and Treatment Adjustment
The collected data will be used to analyze patient activity and adjust treatment strategies. The system is also expected to reduce the risk of injury and improve the efficiency of medical staff.
By 2028, all hospitals in the region are expected to operate under unified standards requiring the use of digital event tracking systems and video monitoring. An electronic event log will also be introduced.
