Federal Resort Bets on Digital Solutions
Sochi is deploying digital solutions together with Rostelecom. Mayor Andrey Proshunin discussed projects that will bring the resort closer to a smart city model.
The instruction was issued following a meeting with representatives of Rostelecom, relevant departments, and utility providers. Proshunin asked the departments to work through the initiatives in detail, taking the budget into account. According to him, such projects are important for the sustainable development of Sochi as a federal resort.
The foundation has already been laid. The resort operates a Digital Twin of the City platform with more than 300 data layers, which helps manage real estate and monitor its condition.
Among the new solutions is a digital assessment of the technical condition of apartment buildings in the major renovation program. An electronic data bank and an interactive model will simplify work planning. The reliability of power supply will be improved by digital energy centers based on gas piston units. Under the Unified Waste Monitoring System, cameras with analytics will record violations at container sites and send fines through Gosuslugi. Another idea concerns architectural lighting for the "guest route" from the airport to Navaginskaya Street.
In the spring, Sochi already became a venue for the AI of the Future project.
