For the First Time in Russia, Artificial Intelligence Will Perform Live on Stage
At a Moscow forum, an AI project that has already drawn millions of online plays will step out of the digital world and onto a real stage, reimagining Russian poetry as electronic music.
At the tech hub “Cloud Cities,” during the Future Territory. Moscow 2030 forum, artificial intelligence will perform live in Russia for the first time. The project, known as DJ Bloknote, has already racked up millions of digital streams but has never been staged in front of an audience—until now.
DJ Bloknote is a digital experiment that uses neural networks to resurrect the works of great Russian poets. The concert, titled Cybermix, will take place on September 12 at the new campus of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Guests will hear classical poetry transformed into electronic tracks, which organizers describe as “a deconstruction of the canon, reverse-engineering of feelings, and the conversion of memory into digital emotion.”
According to Mikhail Kortikov, program director at DFM radio, DJ Bloknote offers “a glimpse into the music industry of tomorrow.”
