In Russia, Neural Networks Are Becoming a Routine Work Tool
Surveys show that most Russians now see AI as an everyday utility—on track to become as common at work as office software or messaging apps.
Neural networks are rapidly becoming part of everyday working life in Russia. According to recent surveys, 54 percent of respondents believe that within the next couple of years AI tools will turn into a standard workplace instrument, comparable in popularity to basic office programs or messengers. At the same time, the share of people who see no reason to learn how to use neural networks continues to shrink.
Analysts note that artificial intelligence is quickly losing its status as a technological novelty. Instead, it is increasingly viewed as a practical tool that helps automate routine tasks and save time.
AI Goes Mainstream in Business
Russian businesses are adopting neural networks even faster. Research indicates that 70 percent of entrepreneurs already use AI in their work. At the same time, companies consistently emphasize that humans remain in control of key decisions, while neural networks are treated primarily as supporting tools.
Among business users, 53 percent rely on AI on a regular basis, while another 16 percent use it occasionally. A smaller group is still exploring the technology or plans to begin внедрение in the near future.
Saving Money With AI
Nearly half of AI users limit themselves to free versions of neural network services. Among those who pay for access, spending is typically moderate—most often between 1,000 and 5,000 rubles per month. Analysts say this suggests the AI services market is gradually adjusting to the real needs and budgets of businesses.
In practice, neural networks most often play the role of an assistant. Some 37 percent of entrepreneurs describe AI as an “executive assistant,” while 23 percent use it to edit and improve texts. Others rely on neural networks as advanced search tools, for consultations, or for generating ideas.
Errors Are Part of the Deal
The main limitation users point to is the need to double-check AI-generated responses. This concern was cited by 36 percent of respondents. Other drawbacks include uneven output quality and the cost of access to advanced features.
Even so, overall attitudes toward neural networks remain positive. Artificial intelligence is increasingly seen as a helpful digital assistant—one that is quietly becoming embedded in everyday life and work.
