InfoWatch Group Now Offers Privileged Access Management
The company has acquired Web Control DC’s assets, including its flagship sPACE PAM solution, which is now being marketed under a new name.
Russia’s information security market is changing rapidly. Customer requirements are rising, and organizations increasingly want solutions that can protect their environments comprehensively. In response, developers are increasingly joining forces with other industry players and expanding their portfolios.
A Proven Platform, a New Name
Recently, InfoWatch Group and its strategic partner Web Control DC joined forces to create a comprehensive data protection offering. A priority area is the PAM (Privileged Access Management) category, which covers platforms designed to control and protect accounts with elevated network privileges. As part of the deal, the Web Control DC team joined InfoWatch with its flagship sPACE PAM product. It is now called InfoWatch Privilege Control.
The move responds to a growing threat. For some time past, hackers have increasingly been targeting organizations through privileged users. According to analysts, about 40% of critical information security incidents in Russia in 2025 were caused by the leakage or unauthorized use of privileged accounts, while 30% of confirmed cyberattacks involved the compromise of IT contractors.
Tackling a Major Security Problem
InfoWatch Privilege Control is designed to address exactly this problem. It can help organizations monitor the privileged accounts of IT administrators, external users, contractors, and business users. These include any accounts with access to critical systems and servers, making them particularly valuable targets for attackers.

Certified for Critical Infrastructure
The platform developed by Web Control DC is listed in Russia’s national software registry. It has also been certified by Russia’s Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) at the fourth level of trust. This means it can be used at Category I critical information infrastructure facilities, in government information systems, and in automated systems for managing industrial and technological processes with the first level of security. The certification process was completed in March 2026, significantly increasing the value of the asset shortly before its acquisition. InfoWatch Privilege Control is compatible with Russian operating systems, including Astra Linux, Alt, and Red OS.
Becoming a Required Security Tool
Experts note that PAM systems are becoming particularly important in Russia as regulatory requirements for protecting critical data become stricter. Organizations are increasingly treating these systems as a mandatory part of their information security strategy rather than an additional layer of protection. As a result, the market includes solutions from developers such as IT Bastion, Indeed, Solar, BI.ZONE, Innostage, and Kontur.
Notably, RTC-Solar took a similar path. In December 2022, the vendor acquired Novye tekhnologii bezopasnosti. The PAM system SafeInspect was transferred to Solar as part of the deal.
For InfoWatch, acquiring Web Control DC’s expertise closes an important gap between protecting data itself and controlling users with the most dangerous levels of access. The PAM system will likely be integrated with other products from its parent company over time, allowing InfoWatch to offer more comprehensive security packages. In a competitive market, reliability and making the data migration process as seamless as possible will be critical to its success.
