IT Universe Unveils New Generation of Secure File Exchange Platform
The latest release is compatible with leading Russian tools for maintaining information security.

Optimization for Critical Information Infrastructure Facilities
Software developer IT Universe, which serves government and corporate customers, has announced the release of Filestone MFT 3.0, a system designed for secure file exchange. According to the company, the new generation of the platform is primarily designed to work with widely used products that create security-protected information environments against different types of vulnerabilities and threats, ranging from human error to targeted, sophisticated attacks. The system enables secure data transfer and offers flexible configuration for specific use cases. The update also includes a range of fixes designed to simplify deployment at critical information infrastructure facilities.
One key addition is an upgraded interface for transferring data about users, their activities and security incidents to other Russian-developed software. In particular, the platform now integrates with Kaspersky Scan Engine (KSE) and can send logs to Positive Technologies’ MaxPatrol SIEM.
Compatibility With Third-Party Software Will Expand
The update significantly expands the toolkit available to system administrators. For example, they can completely disable email-based authentication. After that, users will be able to access the software only through the corporate directory service. External users can now give consent to the processing of personal data, while administrators can withdraw that consent and anonymize personal data.
“Filestone MFT’s future plans include integrations with additional antivirus products, SIEM platforms and products in other categories, such as DLP systems, sandboxes, multifactor authentication systems and directory services. Priority will be given to products requested by customers,” the developers said.
Full Control Over Data Transfers
The developers continue to expand the MFT system’s core functionality, which records user activity, manages file-transfer routes, restricts access and integrates with data-leak prevention mechanisms. This is particularly important for industrial companies, financial institutions, government organizations and critical information infrastructure operators.
How the Technology Has Evolved
The Russian MFT market has undergone a significant transformation over the past several years. The functionality of these tools has continued to expand. One prominent example is Cyber Files, a system developed by Cyber Protect. Launched in 2022, it was positioned as an enterprise platform for secure file exchange and data synchronization both within and outside an organization. Throughout 2023 and 2024, the system received a series of updates aimed at making it easier to work with external users, manage access rights and deploy the solution in closed corporate environments. Compatibility with Russian operating systems was also added.
Filestone MFT has likewise undergone a series of important changes over its lifecycle. Last year, the platform gained dozens of new features, including automatic generation of cover letters, table filtering and global configuration settings. Other significant additions included support for branch structures, expanded event-log capabilities, electronic signatures for registries and additional settings for file-transfer requests.
The capabilities of Russian MFT systems are likely to continue expanding in the coming years, driven by steady demand for comprehensive domestic software solutions. Success in a competitive market will depend not only on secure file-transfer capabilities but also on functionality that provides maximum transparency in how data is handled.
