Latest FACTOR.Ai Intelligent Camera Installed in Tyumen

Tyumen has become the first city in Russia to begin pilot operation of the new FACTOR.Ai smart camera. Its presentation took place as part of the Infotech 2026 forum.
The key feature of the new device is that it does not require a constant internet connection to operate. The camera can locally recognize faces, state registration plates, and vehicle makes and colors. The device is equipped with a 4-terabyte drive, allowing it to store large volumes of data and send them to a server once the network connection is restored. Thanks to its high degree of protection and wide operating temperature range from -45 °C to +65 °C, the camera is unaffected by changeable weather conditions.
"FACTOR.Ai is a reliable assistant for law enforcement agencies and municipal emergency services. Since all analytics are performed on the device itself, the system does not depend on internet stability. This is an optimal solution for remote areas with harsh climates," said Vladimir Barvinsky, Director of Rostelecom's branch in the Tyumen and Kurgan Regions.
