Major Russian Tech Companies Unite to Develop Cloud-Native Technologies
VK Cloud, Yandex Cloud, and Flant have formed the country’s first industry association dedicated to cloud-native development.

Three of Russia’s largest cloud technology providers — VK Cloud, Yandex Cloud, and Flant — have joined forces to create the Association of Cloud-Oriented Technologies (AOT), according to a statement from VK Cloud’s press service.
The new organization will focus on advancing cloud-native technologies — applications designed and run directly in the cloud, which makes them easier to scale and reduces development costs. The association also plans to standardize development practices, support open-source solutions, and unite professionals and companies working in the cloud ecosystem.
Open to All
The initiative marks a strategic consolidation of efforts across the Russian tech sector — a shift from isolated corporate projects toward collaborative ecosystem development. By pooling expertise and resources, the association aims to strengthen the foundation of Russia’s cloud infrastructure and accelerate its digital transformation.
