Maktem Unveils Biologically Controlled Loader
Commands are transmitted via a bracelet that reads the operator’s muscle tension.
Maktem has unveiled a compact loader with bionic control. Interaction with the device is carried out through a special bracelet equipped with sensors that read the operator’s muscle tension. The signals are transmitted to an electronic distributor, which then relays commands to the boom or bucket.
The developers note that this represents a fundamentally new approach. It not only reduces physical strain but also enables people with disabilities to operate the machinery.
It is noted that during operation, the operator remains inside the machine. Full autonomy cannot yet be implemented due to safety requirements.
The machine’s dimensions are approximately 2.5 by 1 meter. The company produces versions with gasoline, diesel, and electrohydraulic engines. The latter option is gaining traction as it is suitable for enclosed spaces and hazardous areas.
