Moscow Selects 100 Breakthrough Projects for International Innovation Program

Young Russian innovators, many of them university and high school students, will receive mentorship and support through the global 'Academy of Innovators' program.

Moscow has selected 100 cutting-edge projects to participate in the sixth cohort of the international 'Academy of Innovators' program. Each project’s creator will receive personalized mentoring to develop their ideas, with support provided through both the product refinement phase and later stages such as securing customers and investors, according to the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development.

A significant 40 percent of submissions came from university students aged 18 to 20, representing institutions such as the Higher School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

The program also drew interest from younger minds: 13 applications were submitted by participants under the age of 18. Among them is a project by 16-year-old Maksimilian Albeschenko and 17-year-old Georgy Sibik—a smart travel assistant app that analyzes user preferences, remembers previous trips, and generates personalized itineraries. The app integrates functions like booking flights and accommodations and tracking daily location schedules.

Other standout entries in the top 100 include an AI-powered assistant for interior designers, industrial waste recycling equipment, intelligent software for analyzing large video archives, and an industrial robot designed to automate production lines.
