Moscow Showcases Smart City Tech to 27 Countries

Over the past two and a half years, Moscow has shared its smart city IT solutions with 27 countries, presenting projects at more than 100 global tech events, from Dubai to New Delhi.
In the last 2.5 years, Moscow has showcased its innovative IT solutions to representatives from 27 countries. Experts from China, Brazil, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia have paid particular attention to the city’s projects, which have been featured at over 100 international events, including major expos such as Smart Nation Expo in Kuala Lumpur, Gitex Global in Dubai, and Smart Cities India Expo in New Delhi, according to Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
Partners in Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia expressed special interest in Moscow’s ‘Digital Twin’ platform—a precise 3D replica of the city in virtual reality, complete with buildings, communications, and infrastructure. The project has become a key tool in developing urban infrastructure.
Delegates from Algeria, Indonesia, and Ethiopia were drawn to Moscow’s applications of artificial intelligence. The city currently employs about 100 AI-driven solutions, including a voice assistant for the citywide contact center, a chatbot on the mos.ru portal, and a school service for learning mathematics.
In 2024, the UN’s international initiative 'United for Smart Sustainable Cities' awarded Moscow a certificate of recognition. The jury praised the city’s performance across 90 metrics, highlighting achievements in applying modern technologies to the economy, environmental protection, social well-being, and cultural development.
