A company called ‘Intelligent Robot Systems’ has become a resident of the ‘Technopolis Moscow’ special economic zone, according to the city’s official portal

The company plans to invest around 730 million rubles (approximately $8 million) to build a 5,200-square-meter plant at the Alabushevo site. The factory will produce up to 19 robotic systems annually for welding, cutting, and materials processing.

“Developing machine-tool engineering and robotics is one of the key priorities for Moscow’s industrial sector. Achieving technological sovereignty in these areas will significantly reduce manual labor and improve production efficiency,” said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow’s Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

High Localization and Focus on Domestic Technology

Anton Bychkovsky, CEO of Intelligent Robot Systems, noted that up to 60 percent of the company’s clients are Russian state-owned technology corporations. The new plant will use 80 percent domestically produced components, marking a major step toward import substitution and self-reliance in advanced manufacturing.
