Moscow’s Digital School Platform Expands to Russian Regions

This fall, all schools in one Arctic region will switch to Moscow’s advanced education technology, bringing AI-powered learning tools to thousands of students and teachers

In the upcoming school year, all 128 schools in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO) will adopt the services of Moscow’s Electronic School (MES), a flagship digital education platform developed for the capital. More than 230,000 students, parents, and teachers will gain access to cutting-edge tools, with Moscow’s experts providing technical and methodological support tailored to regional needs.

MES combines several core services: a Digital Diary and Gradebook, the MES Library with educational content, and the “Moskvenok” system for secure school entry and cashless cafeteria payments. Its AI-powered “Digital Teacher” helps students close knowledge gaps and personalize their learning experience.

Already in use across the Moscow, Kaluga, and Tyumen regions, as well as in Tatarstan and Dagestan, the platform serves more than seven million users nationwide — and is now set to bring its integrated approach to education to Russia’s far north.
