Moscow’s Private Clinics Seek Access to National Digital Health System

Private medical providers in Moscow are asking to be connected to Russia’s national digital health platform. They argue that integration will boost quality of care, improve service, and ease the burden on doctors.

Moscow’s private clinics have formally requested access to the state-run digital healthcare system. This federal platform compiles and organizes information about medical organizations across Russia, including available services, staff, equipment, clinic addresses, and documentation.

The appeal came from the National Association of Healthcare Managers, whose representatives believe that granting private clinics access would improve patient care and service levels. It would also reduce duplication in diagnostics, lighten the workload for physicians, and support their daily work.

The initiative comes as Moscow recently launched a project aimed at connecting federal clinics and regional state medical institutions — including those providing specialized, high-tech care — to the same unified system.
