MTS and Higher School of Economics Partner to Train AI Specialists
The initiative is aimed at preparing new talent for the telecommunications industry.

Russian telecom operator MTS and the Higher School of Economics have signed a partnership agreement focused on training young specialists with artificial intelligence skills for the telecom sector.
Over the next five years, the partners plan to launch several large-scale educational projects. The biggest initiatives include an MTS-sponsored department at the Faculty of Computer Science and a master’s degree program titled “Research and Entrepreneurship in Artificial Intelligence.”
“The Higher School of Economics and MTS share a strong partnership built on joint educational and research projects. Recently, this cooperation entered a new stage: MTS Day was successfully held at MIEM HSE, and today we are taking another important step forward by signing a new agreement,” said HSE rector Nikita Anisimov.
According to the companies, around 350 students have already participated in joint projects between the telecom operator and the university.
