Navigation Systems Upgraded at Gubkinsky and Belozerny Gas Processing Plants
New digital tags help monitor equipment more efficiently and simplify workflows for staff.
Software engineers at SiburTyumenGaz have overhauled navigation systems at the Gubkinsky and Belozerny gas processing plants, introducing smart digital tags for mobile inspection routes.
The new tags function as QR-like beacons placed at all critical points, including pipelines and processing units. When scanned, they provide equipment parameters, action checklists, and confirmation of task completion.
“At the Gubkinsky plant, the updated tags are color-coded by department, helping structure the site visually and making navigation easier. Employees can now quickly identify which unit equipment belongs to and which teams are responsible for it,” a SIBUR spokesperson said.
The upgrade is part of a broader push to expand digital tools in production. It not only improves equipment performance and overall safety but also enhances employees’ ease of navigation and workplace comfort.
