Neural Network to Advise Russians on What to Read, Where to Buy, and How to Save
Yandex has added an “AI for Books” section that uses artificial intelligence to recommend reading based on any user query.

Yandex has rolled out a new “AI for Books” section in its service, where artificial intelligence helps users choose books based on virtually any request.
The feature is powered by the Alice AI family of generative models. The algorithm generates recommendations by taking into account the user’s query, personal preferences, reading history, and prior interactions with the service.
Find It Cheaper, Run Research, Transcribe and Remember
Another update was announced at YaC 2025 AI Edition. Users can now interact with the Yandex Market AI agent via voice and ask it to generate ideas for inspiration. A user describes a task or event they are preparing for, and the neural network suggests suitable product options.
Alice AI has also gained a “Find It Cheaper” agent and a new “Research” mode. The first helps users locate the lowest price for a selected product. The research mode focuses on in-depth analysis that requires complex calculations, large-scale data review, and deeper subject-matter exploration.
Earlier, the company unveiled Yandex Drops AI-powered headphones and a voice recorder with Alice Pro. The headphones allow users to make notes or set reminders, while the “My Memory” feature organizes saved records. The AI-powered voice recorder not only captures audio but also automatically produces transcripts and meeting summaries and answers questions about the recorded content.
