A new Russian company focused on the digitalization of healthcare infrastructure is set to begin operations. Medscan and ElNetMed agreed to establish the company at the Eastern Economic Forum. The new venture, to be called Medscan Netrika, is expected to start operations by the end of this year.

The joint venture will focus on building a platform that brings healthcare providers, digital services and patient data together into a single care pathway. The partners plan to develop digital healthcare services and data-exchange standards, design the platform’s architecture and connect healthcare organizations to it. Clinics will retain their independence and brands while gaining access to new technologies.

“We are building a platform that will bring together the patient’s end-to-end care pathway and tools for effective healthcare organization management. At the same time, clinics’ existing information systems will remain in place and be integrated into a shared digital environment. Today, about 10,000 clinics are connected to Netrika Meditsina’s solutions, while the Medscan network comprises 70 medical centers. Over the past year of joint work, we have run more than 100 pilot projects, validated the business model and are ready to scale it up,” said Nikita Dementyev, CEO of ElNetMed LLC.
