Work is underway to systematically improve communications in the northern parts of the Khabarovsk Region. In particular, a new microwave radio link has been built from Cape Manorsky, where the Elga port operates, to the village of Chumikan. The project is being carried out by the regional Ministry of Digital Development and Falcon. Crews laid the main fiber-optic line along the Pacific Railway and installed the necessary equipment. The new infrastructure is now undergoing trial operation, which is expected to continue through the end of the year.

The Khabarovsk Region has also been selected as one of the pilot regions for testing a new communications system based on a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation. Testing is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of next year, while full deployment of the constellation is expected by 2030.

Major changes are also underway in other northern areas. In the Ayano-Maysky District, satellite communications capacity is being expanded with a regional subsidy, while Wi-Fi access points are set to be installed in the village of Ayan. A Wi-Fi zone has been operating in the settlement of Okhotsk since the beginning of the year, and Beeline plans to launch 4G mobile internet service there by the end of the year.
