New Satellite Communications Terminals Demonstrated in Yakutia
Specialists from Russian Satellite Communications Company showcased compact satellite communications terminals designed for remote communities and industrial sites.

Engineers from Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) presented a new generation of compact satellite communications terminals in Yakutia. The devices are intended for deployment in remote communities and industrial facilities where terrestrial communications infrastructure cannot be installed.
According to the developers, satellite communications are especially important for Yakutia because of its vast territory and large number of hard-to-reach areas.
“For Yakutia, satellite communications are not a backup technology but an essential tool for ensuring digital connectivity. Many of our communities are located far from backbone communications networks, so the development of domestic satellite solutions creates new opportunities for residents, businesses, and public institutions. We are interested in seeing modern Russian technologies put into practical use across our region to help reduce the digital divide,” said Pyotr Nikolayev, Yakutia's minister of innovation, digital development, and infocommunications.
