Omsk Avangard Upgrades Digital Infrastructure to Ensure Reliable Service on Game Days

The Avangard hockey club from Omsk has expanded the capacity of its cloud platform based on Turbo Oblako, a service operated by the RTC Data Centers group of companies.

Through the club's digital ecosystem, fans buy tickets, purchase merchandise, and use the loyalty program. Traffic rises sharply on game days, so the club moved its systems to independent microservices running in a Kubernetes cluster, allowing each component to be scaled separately. The infrastructure also includes redundant databases and object storage to improve reliability.

The upgraded infrastructure now supports not only the hawk.ru website but also the club's newer digital services, including a Telegram bot and the Avangard Laboratory platform. On game days, a team of engineers monitors the platform around the clock.

“For a sports organization with millions of fans, the stability of online services on game days is directly tied to fan loyalty,” said Alexander Obukhov, CEO of Turbo Oblako.
