Predictive Analytics Begins Pilot Operation at Three Russian Nuclear Plants
It not only identifies problems but also explains what caused them.

Pilot operation of a predictive analytics system has begun at Novovoronezh NPP-2, Leningrad NPP-2, and Beloyarsk NPP. It is built on the AtomMind platform and is designed for early problem detection. Using artificial intelligence elements, the solution continuously analyzes equipment operating parameters. It records any changes and immediately identifies their causes.
"A nuclear plant employee receives not just a signal but full information about which parameters have changed and why, how the situation may develop further, and what should be given particular attention. All of this provides more time for analysis and makes it possible to plan the necessary actions more precisely," explained Viktor Tsaranu, head of the project office for implementing digital solutions in nuclear plant operation at Rosenergoatom concern.
The new technologies are expected not only to improve the safety of energy facilities but also to enable more accurate planning of required repair work.
