Pulkovo Airport Ready to Launch Biometric Passenger Processing
The system is set to go live on June 1.

Pulkovo Airport is fully prepared to begin processing passengers through a priority biometric screening service. The system will launch on June 1 ahead of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The service was implemented in partnership with VTB Bank and the Center for Biometric Technologies. It will initially operate on flights between St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The airport has already installed two dedicated terminals for biometric passenger check-in. To use the service, passengers must register their biometric data in advance. Since May 15, that registration has been available directly at Pulkovo Airport.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from June 3 to June 6. The event’s main theme is “Pragmatic Dialogue: The Path to a Stable Future.” The forum’s program focuses on shaping a new model of global development amid the transformation of the world economy.
