Putin Calls Russian Drones the Most Advanced in the World

President Vladimir Putin praised Russia’s drone industry, claiming domestic UAVs now outperform foreign counterparts in key areas.

President Vladimir Putin has given high marks to Russia’s drone developers and hailed their work as a major breakthrough for the industry. Speaking at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects he said Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are now the most advanced in the world in certain sectors.

"They outperform foreign models. Foreign companies often copy them," Putin emphasized.

Russian manufacturers showcased both production models and upcoming drone prototypes in Moscow during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II. Visiting leaders from allied nations also offered praise for the latest Russian UAV technology.

Russia is positioning itself as a global leader in the development of unmanned systems.
