Rosatom Begins Serial Production of Nuclear Plant Control System Hardware
Parus Electro, a company within Rosatom's division for automated control systems and electrical engineering, has begun serial production of hardware for the "intelligent contour".
The equipment forms part of the upper-level control systems used at nuclear power plants to collect, process, and visualize data from plant operations.
The product line includes server and communications racks, as well as operator workstations. The systems are equipped with Parus Electro's own uninterruptible power supplies. The company had previously established production of low-voltage switchgear for nuclear power plants and has now expanded its capabilities to include upper-level control systems.
A new production batch will be shipped this autumn to a testing facility ahead of its planned use in the modernization of Unit 2 at the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant.
