Rosatom specialist Dmitry Chermoshentsev delivered a lecture titled “Quantum Technologies: Responding to New Challenges” at Omsk Technical University. In his talk, he outlined applications of quantum physics, including the creation of quantum computers.

The event, part of Rosatom’s popular science initiative “Quantum Week,” also touched on the corporation’s broader program. Rosatom is responsible for implementing the national roadmap for the development of quantum computing through 2030.

The program’s objectives include creating a 300-qubit quantum computer, developing 54 new quantum algorithms, and using next-generation systems to test at least 100 scientific hypotheses. One of the central tasks is training enough specialists to work with these technologies.
