Rosneft Develops Way to Make Wellsite Development More Efficient
Specialists Have Designed a Mobile Well Pad.

Employees of the Ufa Design Institute, together with specialists from RN-Yuganskneftegaz, have designed a mobile well pad. The modular complex includes all the equipment required for wellsite operations.
“The main feature of the system is that it is installed on lightweight prefabricated supports without the need for heavy pile-driving equipment. This makes it possible to quickly expand the facility to meet production needs and cut the time required for construction and installation work by two to three times,” Rosneft representatives said.
Capital costs for setting up a single well pad are about 6% lower than those for a permanent facility. The ability to reuse the equipment provides additional savings.
In the future, specialists plan to automate the design of such well pads. A dedicated software solution will be developed based on a unified catalog of 3D components. The system will automatically generate an information model of a mobile well pad based on specified input parameters.
