Rostec Completes a Major IT Transition to Domestic Systems
Rostec has deployed a fully Russian-built financial and procurement management system, replacing a key corporate IT platform without interrupting daily operations—a milestone that advances the country’s technological sovereignty.

Rostec has received a Rostelecom industry award for completing one of the most ambitious IT-import substitution projects in Russia. In less than eight months, the state corporation built and launched a domestic Automated Financial and Procurement Management System—strengthening the technological independence of one of the nation’s largest industrial groups.
A Seamless Transition
RT-Inform, Rostec’s IT competence center, executed a full migration to Russian software and hardware without halting the company’s day-to-day operations. The system—one of the largest in the country built on the 1C platform—supports 25,000 employees across 560 organizations.
The transition required no service downtime and no user retraining. The updated system has passed all mandatory audits and received certification confirming compliance with national information-security standards.
A Model for Digital Transformation
The project illustrates accelerated and effective digital transformation within a strategically important industrial holding. Its win in the ‘Pro Independence’ category underscores Russia’s broader push to reinforce technological sovereignty across key economic sectors.
Rostec’s success sets a new benchmark for large-scale digital transformation amid global challenges.
