At the Bioprom 2026 forum, which will take place in Gelendzhik on Oct. 5–6, Rostec State Corporation will showcase a range of medical technologies. The centerpiece of the exhibition will be an innovative robot capable of repairing damaged skin and soft tissue.

The device was developed by RT-Razvitiye Biznesa (RT Business Development) using the Russian DOKA RC5 collaborative robot and is designed for 3D bioprinting. The technology addresses challenges in regenerative medicine and could be used to restore damaged tissue. Importantly, the robot does not follow a fixed pattern but adapts to the geometry of each damaged area. It scans the defect, creates a 3D model of it, and then applies a hydrogel composition containing living cells layer by layer, reproducing the complex contours of the surface. In effect, the robot can see the treatment area and adapt to the patient’s individual anatomy.
