Rostelecom Launches Superfast Wi-Fi 6 Routers Across Russia

The new devices double data speeds, reaching up to 3 Gbps, and promise stable connections even in dense apartment buildings.

Russia’s largest telecom provider, Rostelecom, has rolled out its next-generation Wi-Fi 6 routers featuring the AX3000 chipset. The devices deliver data transfer speeds of up to 3 gigabits per second—twice as fast as the previous generation. Users can now stream ultra-high-definition video without buffering and load web pages almost instantly.

According to Irina Lebedeva, Rostelecom’s vice president for mass-market products, “this upgrade isn’t just about faster speeds—it’s about saving time, money, and frustration. Wi-Fi 6 is now the new standard for every customer.”

Smarter, More Efficient Networking

Unlike earlier models that served devices one by one, Wi-Fi 6 routers communicate with multiple devices simultaneously, providing smooth connectivity for entire smart homes filled with phones, laptops, and IoT devices. The technology also optimizes power consumption, extending battery life for connected gadgets.

Rostelecom says the routers are already available nationwide, marking a major step in upgrading the country’s broadband infrastructure for the era of high-speed digital living.
