Rusolovo to Install Automated Safety Doors at Molodezhny Mine
The new system is designed to improve safety conditions at the underground mining operation.
PJSC Rusolovo has begun constructing a new portal at the main haulage decline of the Molodezhny mine. The facility will be equipped with automated safety doors designed to significantly improve industrial safety at the site.
The built-in automation system is intended to prevent the spread of gas, dust, and fire between underground workings. The doors will also incorporate an interlocking mechanism that helps eliminate the risk of vehicles striking personnel when workers are present in hazardous areas. Such systems are particularly important at underground mining and ore-processing operations, where ventilation and the isolation of work zones are directly linked to miner safety.
According to company staff, the deployment of automated doors represents an important milestone in the company’s digital transformation strategy. The new measures are expected to improve operational competitiveness while helping reduce workplace injuries.
