Russia certifies Ankey IDM as a secure identity-management platform

Russia has officially recognized the Ankey IDM identity‑management platform as a secure solution for handling sensitive data. With its newly extended certification from the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC), the software can now be implemented across government and commercial infrastructures without additional regulatory approval—streamlining cybersecurity modernization nationwide.

Certified for State and Enterprise Use

Ankey IDM version 1.8 has received a new FSTEC compliance certificate valid through 2030, as announced by its developer, Gazinformservice. The certification verifies that the platform meets the regulator’s strict requirements for information‑protection tools, allowing it to operate in systems that process personal data, restricted-access information, and commercial secrets.

Possession of the certificate eliminates the need for separate approval procedures, enabling state agencies and businesses to integrate Ankey IDM more quickly into existing IT environments. This significantly accelerates projects related to access management and cybersecurity compliance.

Identity Governance at Scale

Ankey IDM belongs to the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) class of systems designed for centralized management of user accounts, roles, and permissions for employees and external contractors. IGA platforms address three foundational questions of digital security: who has access, to what exactly, and on what basis.

The system automates the full lifecycle of digital identities—from account creation and modification of access rights to timely revocation when an employee leaves or changes roles. It incorporates role‑based access models, principles of least privilege, separation of duties, and built‑in audit and oversight mechanisms.

Integration and Compliance

From a technical standpoint, the platform integrates with corporate directories, HR systems, and domestic cybersecurity products, enabling end‑to‑end access‑management workflows. Ankey IDM also supports detailed reporting for audits and internal controls, a critical requirement for organizations operating under enhanced data‑protection and regulatory obligations.

According to Ankey IDM product manager Alexander Davydov, the certification confirms the platform’s compliance with current FSTEC standards and cements its status as a mature Russian solution for managing access in sensitive environments. Gazinformservice notes that the platform is already deployed in projects where reliability, procedural discipline, and adherence to legislation are essential.
