Russia Deploys Digital Road Management System in Tula Region

The new platform monitors road conditions, maintenance quality, and repair efficiency in real time.

A digital road management system called “AIS Dorogi 71” is being introduced in Russia’s Tula region to track the condition of highways and evaluate repair work performance. The system, already in use by the regional agency Tulaavtodor, is part of a broader effort to digitize the region’s transport infrastructure.

The platform displays an interactive map covering more than 4,300 kilometers of roads and 204 bridges, monitoring equipment movement, repair progress, and surface quality. It integrates photo and video reports, allowing officials to quickly identify problem areas and verify completed work.

Smarter Repairs and Faster Response

According to Svetlana Voskresenskaya, the region’s Minister of Transport and Road Management, digitalization is helping authorities plan repairs more accurately and respond faster to citizen requests. The system keeps detailed records of winter maintenance and summer roadwork, building a comprehensive database to analyze contractor performance and efficiency.

Officials say “AIS Dorogi 71” will become a cornerstone of the region’s digital transport ecosystem, improving safety, cost efficiency, and service quality across Tula’s road network—and setting a model for other regions to follow.
