Russia Deploys Voice Assistant to Boost Industrial Productivity

A new AI-powered assistant is helping factory workers speed up routine tasks—handling technical jargon, noisy environments, and even filling out paperwork hands-free.
Russian tech group CRT has introduced a voice assistant platform, Voice2X, powered by the neural model GigaChat, to support workers in the country’s industrial sector. This virtual assistant features a natural-sounding voice, understands specialized manufacturing terminology, and delivers instant responses to user queries.
One of Voice2X’s key strengths is its ability to recognize over 95% of technical terms, even in loud environments like factory floors. Initial trials revealed that using voice input for data transfer is up to five times faster than manual entry—cutting production time nearly in half.
Beyond information retrieval, the assistant can also perform administrative functions. Workers can verbally instruct the system to log inspection data or fill out documents, all without interrupting their workflow.
This makes Voice2X a unique addition to Russia’s industrial digitalization efforts, improving both efficiency and worker safety in the field.
