Russia Films Its First Cyber Series on Artificial Intelligence

A new documentary series, shot in Vladivostok and Ussuriysk, showcases how Russian AI is already reshaping medicine, logistics, and even wildlife conservation.

Filming has wrapped in Vladivostok and Ussuriysk for “Artificial Intelligence of the Future,” Russia’s first documentary cyber series focused on AI. The project highlights how these technologies are transforming key areas of daily life. The filmmakers interviewed Far Eastern scientists from the AI Center at the Far Eastern Federal University, who presented an array of unique innovations.

One model predicts the trajectory of tropical cyclones with high accuracy. Another identifies endangered Amur tigers. Algorithms are also being applied to optimize container terminal operations at Vladivostok Port, improving efficiency.

Alexander Ganyushkin, a researcher at Vladivostok State University, introduced ADAM, a one-of-a-kind humanoid robot. ADAM is Russia’s first robot to simultaneously integrate both ChatGPT and YandexGPT neural networks. It can recognize faces and gestures, display emotions, and respond to voice commands.

The Pacific State Medical University and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have developed a pilot platform called “Rehabilitation Council.” This AI assistant helps diagnose complex cases in patients with central nervous system damage. Meanwhile, at the Far Eastern Federal University’s medical complex, neural networks are already assisting doctors in rapidly and accurately interpreting CT scans.

The cyber series is designed as a meditation on the future being shaped by artificial intelligence. The production team will continue filming in Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, and other scientific hubs across the country. The premiere is scheduled for spring 2026.
