Russia Hosts Major International IT Forum Focused on AI and Drone Tech

Over 3,200 experts from 47 countries gather in Khanty-Mansiysk to explore the future of artificial intelligence, unmanned aviation, and digital law.
The 16th International IT Forum kicked off in the Russian city of Khanty-Mansiysk, drawing over 3,200 professionals for two days of talks and exhibitions that run through June 27. The event welcomes representatives from 53 Russian regions and 47 countries, with participants from 28 nations attending in person and others joining virtually.
The forum’s main themes include artificial intelligence, unmanned aviation systems, and digital law. More than 50 events are scheduled, ranging from expert panels to hands-on sessions where attendees can pilot drones or experiment with neural network programming. One of the highlights is a youth drone racing competition for participants aged 14 and up.
An on-site exhibition will showcase innovations from nearly 50 companies. Exhibitors include tech specialists from Uzbekistan as well as Russian cities like Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Veliky Novgorod. Participants will present solutions across sectors including transport, energy, finance, and healthcare.
This is not the first high-profile international event hosted by Russia in 2025. The 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held earlier this year, drew more than 24,200 participants and media representatives from 144 countries.
