Russia Introduces AI-Powered Wellness Programs in Sanatoriums

Neural networks are being integrated into Russia’s sanatorium system, offering guests personalized treatment and recovery plans through digital assistants.

Rest and treatment in Russian sanatoriums are moving to a new level with the help of IT technologies. Using neural networks, each visitor can now receive an individualized program for maintaining or restoring health. One example is the collaboration between Altai Medical University and the sanatoriums Sosnovy Bor and Barnaulsky.

Researchers and sanatorium specialists are carrying out joint projects that integrate IT services and artificial intelligence into diagnostics, prevention, and patient care. The initiative not only brings access to a new format of medicine with fundamentally different approaches to treatment but also enables the design of tailored wellness programs for each guest.

In addition to deploying the technology, the initiative also focuses on training staff at Altai’s sanatoriums. At the university, employees are being taught to work with digital platforms. Ivan Minakov, director of the Sosnovy Bor sanatorium, noted that the main trend in digital modernization is the union of science, education, and practice. This, he said, makes rehabilitation several times more effective.
