Russia Introduces MAX Messenger Feature to Verify Transport Benefits
Pilot project launched in several cities in March

Passengers on urban public transport can now confirm eligibility for discounted fares without presenting paper documents, according to the press service of MAX.
A new method of verifying transport benefits through a chatbot in the national messenger MAX has been introduced in several cities in the Novosibirsk and Vladimir regions. The pilot project launched on March 1.
Passengers only need to scan a QR code on the validator inside the vehicle. Before doing so, they must log in to the SberTroika chatbot and link their account to Gosuslugi (Russia’s public services portal) to confirm their eligibility for the benefit.
List of Eligible Categories to Expand
According to Evgeny Tyurin, deputy minister of transport and road infrastructure of the Novosibirsk region, the option to verify benefits through MAX has already been incorporated into regional regulations. The list of eligible passenger categories is expected to expand in the future.
Earlier it was reported that suburban train passengers in the Moscow region can now confirm their discounted travel status by presenting a digital ID in the MAX messenger.
