Russia Launches Educational Game to Help Renters Choose Home Insurance

Gamification is turning complex insurance decisions into interactive learning experiences for Russian customers—and offering discounts in the process.
Russian insurance company Rosgosstrakh has launched an educational game that helps users navigate the often-confusing world of apartment insurance. The interactive platform walks players through different risk scenarios, teaching them how to protect their homes from fire, flooding, and theft—while also helping them customize their coverage.
The game drops users into a virtual residential complex where a series of simulated accidents unfold. The goal is to minimize damage and learn how insurance policies work in the process. According to Polina Khrolenok, who leads loyalty development at Rosgosstrakh, gamification simplifies and humanizes the customer experience.
She said,
This isn’t Rosgosstrakh’s first foray into digital engagement. Previous games included mobile and web-based puzzle formats like sliding tiles and memory challenges, designed to make financial literacy more approachable.
